lust and love conflict

Ok, so this might sound weird but I swear my mind goes back and forth between wanting nothing but meaningless hot sex and then wanting passionate and romance-filled sex. But I've never even had sex, or even had a boyfriend before. And I'm almost 21. Has this happened to anyone else? I feel like such a sad case. I mean I'm usually feel ok about it ever having had a relationship because I like the way my life is, but I feel so stupid about never having had a boyfriend before when all of my other friends have.
