under active thyroid

I got my tests for PCOS and other blood tests. I rang today for my results and the receptionist was very rude and would not discuss my results at all, told me I had to wait 3 weeks to see the doctor so I got worked up not knowing what It was, rang back and finally they told me it's definitely not PCOS or Diabetes but I have under active  thyroid. Does anyone have this and will it effect me ttc? What medication will I get and will that stop or boost my chances of getting pregnant?
