house smelling good!?

Anyone have a trick to keep there house smelling good!? I have 2 airwick auto sprays and a bunch of plugins but I feel like I don't smell them that much!!  Should I put a plug in in every room!? I burn candles but I can only do that when I'm home... what do other people do to keep there house smelling good all the time!?

I stoped using fake scents after seeing the chemicals being burned off. I make my own with using things from the kitchen (like fruits and spices) and essential oils that are therapeutic quality. I also use an air cleaner and air purifier.

If you are constantly using the same scents you can become "nose blind" to them...

We have an air purifier and also an essential oil diffuser(obviously don't use them at the same time or it defeats the purpose). They keep our house smelling clean without all of the artificial fragrance. ☺

I buy cinnamon brooms at Trader Joe's and just leave them sitting in a corner of my house and it makes the whole house smell good!

Change filters regularly. Bath and body works has a little spray can that is amazing, one spray and the whole room smells awesome.

Well #1 I am a firm believer that every household has a different smell. I can only smell mine when I'm gone for awhile but I heavily associate it with an oriental smell as my mother is Thai. I can definitely tell my boyfriend's Afghani household smell.

Opening windows I feel helps bring in natural air movement. I don't think you should normally find a bad smell in your house - you live there so you should be used to anything natural. If there's a bad small it's somethings causing it.

Perhaps try dusting and cleaning - blankets, pillows, inside shoes can get smelly too if you have a shoe rack.

Candles can help and the scented plugins but I believe your house shouldn't have a general BAD smell. A room smelling like cake, flowers, whatever is just extra effort.

You could try getting a timed wax melt from Yankee which is electric and will turn off itself after you set it. But best wishes and good luck. If you find your home smells bad try pinpointing its source.
