maternity pics early?

So I am curious as to why so many people take their maternity pics so early. I mean, I'm 30 weeks and mine aren't scheduled for another month! I see many people schedule during the second trimester and I don't get it. You don't even look like your true pregnant self that early. I know we all give birth at different points but at some point it seems like you miss the point of a maternity pic when you do it that early.
