Go to your piercer, do NOT take it out, put tea tree oil or try to pop it. Just call your piercer up, or if you can't (ie the shop is far away) got to a reputable one in your area. Taking it out can result in an infection forming and getting trapped in your body. Popping it and using tea tree oil are very harsh for a new piercing. You may not have the right kind of jewelry. Depending on how old your piercing is upgrade the jewelry (or if it's still only a few weeks old ask a piercer to do it for you). Also start saline soaks, that should get rid of the bump. If you don't have saline or can't find any boil 1 cup of water with 1/4 teaspoon of NON IODIZED FINE GRAIN SEA SALT. Once it cools put some in a thoroughly washed cup and suction it onto your stomach and let it soak for 5-10 minutes. Pretty sure it's a hypertrophic scar or a keloid. If it's a keloid you'll have to take the jewelry out and get cortisone shots, they don't really "go away". Please don't listen to those other people, talk to your piercer. You risk gaining a scar, angry piercing or having to go through surgeries for an infection. You don't want to have to sit out on prom night right? An ugly piercing is better than being in the hospital on antibiotics.. worst case scenario, but please listen

go see your piercer or a doctor ASAP. put nothing on it but soap or premade sterile saline spray. DO not pop it, pick at it, or use any other substance on it (tea tree, alcohol, etc).

I have the same on my nose. Soak in warm water and tea tree oil 3 times a day. Don't remove it!

What happened? My piercing started doing this because when I switched my jewelry it wasn't "real" take it out before it gets worse. Tmi, but the whole front of skin got hard and dead, ew. Fell off. So I have a circle scare above my navel now.

Take it out immediately!!! Take painkillers to reduce swelling! And rub antiseptic liquid or cream on it, or if u can't afford that then make a solution of hot water and crush some painkillers up and put it in the hot water, wait till it cools down so it's comfortable to place on ur skin then dose the solution on ur belly button and surrounding areas! Make sure u keep it clean and the surrounding area clean!! Also try to keep it uncovered! Good luck
