Blood Work????

Question

Ok ladies so I'm a little confused so I went to my GYNO for my Cycle day 21 blood work to see if I have ovulated so I mention to the nurse I just received a positive Clearblue OT on day 20 evening and I know that usually it can take 12-36hrs till you actually ovulate so nurse calls me back tells me my test came back negative I did not ovulate????Im confused anyone can Help with some feedback I have been TTC for more that 5years

Answer

The day 21 needs to be taken 7 days past the positive ovulation test. Doctors call it a day 21 because they assume all women O on day 14 which is far from the truth. Unfortunately I've learned from my doctors you have to stay on them and make sure it's taken the right day because most of them don't care which day it's taken. I'd ask to have it retaken. Also with that being said after 5 years I'd go on to fertility clinic.... could be an easy fix 😊
