Weekly appts in the last month

I had an appt today, I'm 36w 6d. Group B swab was done (it wasn't as horrible as I imagined) and the student doctor was rough when feeling for baby's head *it hurt!!*

Anyway, my last appt was a week ago. When my actual doctor finished today, she said I can come back in a week or two and it was up to me. That seemed really odd because last week she said my appts are weekly now and articles and things I've read said the same thing.

Has this happened to anyone else? I booked my appt for next week. I should've asked her why she said 2 weeks but I wasn't thinking 😑
