I did one for a birthday present, and turned it into a photo book for him. It was a lot of fun. Don't be shy about it, trust me, the pictures will be better that way. Also, do some research; find poses you like and recreate them yourself. Bring props and different outfits too.

Yes they are really fun, go play dress up and find what you like something a little sexy, something fun and playful, maybe one of your SO's shirts, you can even go bold and just wear a satin sheet or some flower pedals, props are always fun too, be creative
