Too young?

My boyfriend and I have been together for 5 years. I'm 22 and he's 25. We would really like to start a family but im so worried about what my family and others will think about me. I feel ready and we are both in good jobs and are living together. I think I'm just being silly but I'm so worried about what people will think.

Don't worry about what anyone thinks.. my husband and I are 20 & 21 and we are trying. If you two are ready, and able to care for a child and you both want it go for it. 😊 people will always have their opinions , may as well do what makes you happy 😊💜

As someone who has been in your shoes and has always decided to do what is expected of me for fear of what people would think if I didn't, I can tell you with all honesty that you have to do what you believe in your heart to be what makes you happy. If that means starting a family you have at least the support of your significant other then that is all that matters. In the end your family will fall in love with that little bundle of joy. It is your choice and no one else's. Don't let them dictate your happiness.

My husband is 30 and I'm 22. We got married when I was 20 and now we're TTC. I think as long as you both feel ready and are as financially ready as you can be, go for it! People thought I was nuts for marrying so young but it's the best decision I've ever made! Now we have all of our families and friends on board with us TTC!! Do what makes you happy! Good luck :)

That's lovely! Who cares what people think, it's your decision alone. Maybe make sure you are in a financial position to care for bubby on single wage. Sometimes can be tricky and put strain on you both if for some reason you can't go back to work. And if you do need to go back to work who will be looking after bubs? Not trying to rain on your parade, just good to think about before you're pregnant as might mean you'd like to wait a few years (seeing as you've got time on your side). Good luck to you both x
