2 year trying and then miscarried

Ok so last Tuesday I started bleeding I had scan already booked in which confirmed what I already knew I chose to let my body do the process on its own rather than take a tablet my question is I have passed lots of clots on Monday and one today I'm just wondering how long other women who gone through this blead for ? I was told to take a test 3 weeks from when my bleeding started and if it came back negative then I don't need to go back I also would like to know how long it took other to conceive after I would like time to get over this but I'm so scared if i leave it it will take another two years
