Dying hair while pregnant?

I'm currently 26 weeks pregnant and have a hair appointment booked in for tomorrow I have brown hair but am wanting to go blonde. Is it safe for Bub? And does anyone have any personal experience dying there hair during pregnancy did your hair dry out faster?

My hair has been SO dry my whole pregnancy. I waited until my second trimester to dye it (I normally dye it red about once every 4-6 weeks, so you can imagine how faded it got lol) I used an ammonia free dye just as an added precaution but my doctor said even that was unnecessary. I know tons of hair dressers who worked throughout their entire pregnancies, so if their babies came out happy and healthy I'm sure the odd dye job will be just fine for me :)

I get my roots done every 6 weeks, with bleach. You're fine to go blonde. Both my doctor and my hair stylist say that the advisory is to do with how the salon smells effect you. If the smells don't bother you, go nuts. But do be aware that due to your hormones the colour may look a little different than expected (but if your hairdresser is good, they can deal with that no problem), and your scalp may be a little more sensitive near the beginning.

I did it when I was 20 weeks, the itch was the most annoying part of it because I couldn't sit still and the smell was very strong so just block ur nose or ask for a tissue to put over ur nose

Going from dark to light might be hard, because you'll need to use some form of bleach and with your hormones going crazy!!! I wouldn't advise!x

Essentially when they say don't die it it's not bc it's bad for baby but bc the hormones make it hard for your hair to hold color so it may or may not come out the way you want it.
