Ectopic with absolutely nothing wrong with tubes?

Hey all

I had an ectopic back in May 2016 and I had an HSG done.... completely normal with no scarring... std test all negative... pelvic exams perfect so no PID, no endometriosis.... absolutely nothing wrong expect PCOS. My regular gyno even told me the two usual reasons I get ectopics are PID and endometriosis but I have neither. Nobody can explain why this happened. Has this happened to anyone else? Absolutely nothing wrong but still had an ectopic?

Hey Hun, the body is a fascinating thing and, although we may not understand it all, there is always good a reason for the choices it makes. It operates without us telling it what to do, keeping us alive and healthy (generally). Therefore it may have been that there was a slight problem with the fertilized egg that would have been too risky to allow full term pregnancy, so it made the decision to terminate. I have also been told that the fertilization occurred at the wrong stage of the cycle. So I guess it's what you feel makes the most sense. I tell myself it was because there would have been something wrong with the baby so nature took its course allowing me to hopefully have a healthy baby next time round. I'm terrified it'll happen again, so much so that AF is 5 days late and I have a test I'm just too scared of a) the result being negative or b) going through the trauma of a ruptured ectopic again 😭

Same thing with me. Had an ectopic, no PID or STDs, no PCOS, no blockage in the other tube, and No explanation 🤷🏽‍♀️. The only thing I could think of is hat I elevated my hips for like 20 mins the night of my fertile day and possibly it cause the egg to be fertilized too soon🤔🤔🤔 Idk how accurate that is but I'll never try that again...
