period talk

Just curious because I'm freaking out a little bit. I have had my period for 7 years now and it's not super regular yet. I'm NOT sexually active and my last period ended on the 16th. Today though my discharge was like a pinkish red color (doesn't look like spotting) and I was wondering if I should be alarmed. I could be ovulating but there isn't a sure way to know because I'm not actually regular. Does anyone know?
