EDIT 9 a.m. amd on his 4th mixed drink
How will he get to the hospital to see his great grandbaby after its born.. cause I don't want to have him driving to the hospital drunk but he insists he Will be waiting out in the waiting room the time the baby is here.. even said he would take a couple days off of work if it's during the week.. (he planned on taking my due date off but I said don't do that cause you don't know if I'll actually have the baby that day, it's just an estimate) how is it going to be any good for him to take off when he can't stay sober. I'm scared he will get put in jail for public intox because he reeks of whiskey 24/7
. What would yall do? I don't want to be mean and make him feel left out cause he's so excited for the baby.. it's his first great grand baby.
@Myranda:he won't be holding baby. Cause he is a drunk and is also scared to hold a new baby. But he has been drinking for so long and so much every day I'm scared he can't go off it without medical intervention and he keeps insisting he can do it alone without help. I just don't want him to die. I don't believe from a medical standpoint he could even physically handle the detox. He's 65. Been drinking since before I was born. I'll be 23 when baby get here.
He is constantly drinking and stumbling around the house like bad. I have to help him up sometimes cause he falls.hes always drunk not just drinking here and there.
