Husband delivering baby

We're expecting our first baby together later this year. My husband already has two children from a previous relationship. He is not squeamish at all and is amazed by all things pregnancy and delivery. I really want it to be something special and was wondering if everything goes good if he'd be allowed to help deliver the baby. As in help catch. My hospital has three drs so it's whoever is on call that I get. So I wont know ahead of time who will be delivering. I want to ask beforehand but wasn't sure if that's something that's commonly allowed or not. And just looking for any advice/input from you all. Thanks!!
