birth control and condoms

Okayyyyyyyy this might seem totally obvious to some, but I'm still a little new to this whole "sex life" thing. 😂 I just started birth control and am only on my second pack of it, almost on the third. My boyfriend and I have sex often but he also uses condoms. Last month my period was a little late because I started birth control. This month I don't even have spotting and am several days late. Until a few days ago, we didn't have sex for about a week and a half, but always using 2 forms of birth control. Am I just being paranoid about my period not coming or is something up?? Is it a side effect of the birth control?
