How to make him comfortable

I have a lot more experience than my boyfriend and he was really nervouse to have sex with me bc of that. He finally gained enough confidence on Valentine's Day and we have had a lot of sex since then.... But I've been on top every time. I want to try something different but when we tried with missionary he got too nervouse and he lost it so we had to come back to it later. What should I do?
