anyone come close to passing out with sugar test?

Question

Took my one hour glucose test today and got to about 55 minutes and started to feel pretty whoosy. I sat down to get my blood drawn, and started feeling worse. I was really close to passing out, everything got really bright and I was incredibly dizzy. They were able to get my blood and that's when I got really sick and threw up. Luckily they were able to take my blood before I threw up, otherwise I'd have to take the test again... ugh. I hope that doesn't mean I'll have GB.

Anyone else come close to passing out? Or have a rough experience with this test? Did you pass the test?

UPDATE: I passed my test!! I'm just low on Iron so I need to add an extra supplement to my diet. That was probably a contributing factor to my feeling faint and nauseaus. Could have been worse!

I ended up spending most of the hour sitting in the bathroom as I waited.  I was very nauseous and dizzy and the heat was getting to me in waiting room.  I was so close to throwing up or passing out.  It was awful!!

same thing happened to me 30 min after I drank it I was driving to my apt with all the windows down which by the way here in MI it was only 30 degrees but I felt like I couldn't breathe right I was shaky and keep thinking I was going to have to pull over and vomit. I passed the test but results showed anemia. now that just means more burgers and steaks for us lol

Yes! After about half and hour after drinking the drink I started to get dizzy and feel faint. The lady's at the lab had me lay down and put a cold cloth on my head and I felt much better!

It didn't personally happen to me, but while I was getting my 3 hour test done, another girl in the same room was passing out and then threw up. I was scared for her and glad it didn't happen to me! It's a scary feeling for sure, but it happens to a lot of people

I had mine today and felt like I was going to faint at first but then it got better. They chilled the drink for me so it was better than I thought tasted like extra sweet slightly thick flat lemonade. I had a snack at 11.30pm before my fast started at 12am and that was a good idea.

I haven't taken the test yet, I do this week. But I'm very sensitive to sugar. If I chew bubble gum my heart rate jumps over 140 bpm. I figured I'd have serious issues with the sugar content.

Yeah I was WAY sick after drinking it. I let the nurse know as soon as she sat me down to take my blood. She leaned me back and gave me apple juice after but that didn't help. I went home and was sick for the rest of the day. They called and I am also low on iron and have to supplement. I guess that was the contributing factor!
