Gender Selection??

So I've been researching different methods on conceiving specific genders. I already have a boy and I'd really like my next child to be a girl. Im curious to see if any certain method worked for you? (Shettles, positions etc.)

The sex of a child is determined by the males sperm. Women carry X chromosomes and males carry both x and y. If an X sperm meets up with your x egg you get a girl baby. If he produces a y  sperm and it meets with your egg creating an XY baby it is a boy! No position or other methods will cause you to have a specific gender child. (Learned this in sex Ed, health, human anatomy, and general science throughout highschool.. I'm actually surprised that a lot of people are not fully aware of everything within human creation) good luck for a girl tho.

A friend at work suggested the Shettle’s book to me. She had her first child(a son) and having come across the book decided to try for a girl following the method and was successful. She has since gone on to have 3 other children, all using the Shettle’s method, all the gender she was trying for. I just finished the book in the Shettle’s Method and have begun tracking the way it recommends. I have a boy and would like a girl. I made a chart to track BBT as well as cervical mucus. Obviously I will be pleased with any gender but now that I’ve read up on it I just have to give it a shot.

Male sperm swim quicker than female sperm, but female sperm live longer than male. So they say that if you want a girl, have sex a few days before your O day only so that most of the male sperm would have died off by the time you ovulate. And then there will more female sperm alive waiting for the egg. Don't know how accurate this is, but scientifically, this makes the most sense to me vs sex positions or anything like that.
