Natural Birth

Come on people... are we really so stupid to discourage a mom to be in the kind of birth that she wants? I have nothing against other moms who go for the epidural, but I would never say to them "oh you'll wish you'd gone natural!!" "Oh you'll choose differently next time!!" "Oh you're so naive!! You'll see.." 

Why?!?!? WHY!?!?! Why is it acceptable for people to tell me I won't succeed in this, or that I'll wish I had chosen differently?? 

I am about as prepared as you can get for this labor and birth. Education, classes, my mother is attending and doula trained, reading, etc....I'm not going in blind. And at first I just shrugged it off. But now that my due date is TOMORROW.. I'm just so sick of hearing it!! Especially from women. Our culture is taking strides to empower women in every other area and encourages us to empower each other!!!....Until a young first time mom says she wants a natural childbirth. Then she's just stupid and naive. 

I don't know why it's gotten under my skin so much. And I know that as long as I come out of this with a healthy baby... I will be happy with HOWEVER she is born. But why so much negativity....
