How did this happen?

I'm sixteen and I just found out I'm pregnant. I know, I should've been on birth control. But my boyfriend and I used condoms every time we did it, so even still, I shouldn't have gotten pregnant. He wants me to keep it but I don't know. I feel like it's not fair to my family for me to keep the baby because I still live with them, but I feel like it's not fair to the baby to give him/her up or abort. I'm terrified. Does anybody have any advice?

My cousin got pregnant and had an abortion at age 18. She is now in her 30s, married, with a career and two lovely children. I think she's always going to think of her first pregnancy, but she made the right decision for herself.

I have a 16 yo myself and I would want her to talk to me about the options. I think that you owe yourself a chance at your life before you owe the beginning of the baby anything. I hope you and your mom can find a way through that leaves you feeling cared for and ready for whatever your next step will be.

Mistakes happen and condoms are not 100% effective. Talk to your parents. Hopefully they will be able to help you with your decision. Good luck ❤️

Best thing to do is talk to your mother. She can help you on making a decision(I hope) don't let anyone coerce you into something you do not wanna do. If you were my daughter I would give you scenarios and options. I would want to know when MY baby was in trouble.

Condoms are not fool proof.  They should always be used with birth control.

I'm 18, and had been using birth control. I messed up by missing a day and having unprotected sex- and ended up pregnant. I had planned to stay quiet about it until I figured out what I wanted to do, but I already knew that I wanted to keep it because nothing else seemed like an option I wanted. I told my parents the same day, and they were HIGHLY upset but supportive. I'm the golden child and no one expected this from me- but mistakes happen to all of us, not just teenagers (not saying my unborn child is a mistake, it's my biggest blessing). Ultimately it's your decision but do what you feel is right deep down. If you need to talk, just let me know!

It's a really hard and big decision. I wouldn't rush into making a decision. I have two friends who had abortions when they were younger and one has on going medical issues from it and they both carry constant guilt and regret. So there are consequences either way...find out your options, talk to your family, then make a decision.
