ectopic pregnancy is not your fault OR his fault

I don't know why I keep seeing this but I've seen it now where women think that an Ectopic pregnancy is their fault or somehow their partners fault because his sperm went to the wrong place

So I'm here to share this.

Fertalization happens in the Fallopian tubes. There's these tiny microscopic hair like things called cilia and they swish around to move an egg to your uterus. There's no certain cause of an ectopic pregnancy but the theory is that for some reason the egg gets stuck in the cilia and doesn't end up in the uterus like it's supposed to causing an ectopic pregnancy. You're not at fault there. Nobody is.
