how do I tell my bestfriend that I won't attend her wedding?

My bestfriend is having a wedding and I am one of the bridesmaids.... I have just found out recently that I am pregnant. Her wedding is on the same month that I am due and would be abroad so obviously I can't travel for it. I don't know how to tell her this without breaking her heart because she has everything planned and also bought all the bridesmaids clothes and shoes.... I also had already booked my flight tickets. My friend is not very much an understanding person. Help pls P.s: as I said I just found out that I'm pregnant and I bought my flight tickets in January

I'd she can't be supportive of that then you need a new friend, yeah it will hurt her feelings a little but she should be happy for you. She should realize you can't be 9 mos pregnant and flying away to a destination wedding away from your doctor.

Tell her your pregnant & due the same time as her wedding abroad so you won't be there. Either she understands or she doesn't. If she's really your best friend she'll get over it. Initially she'll be shocked & dissappointed which is normal, but then she needs to move on

Take her to breakfast or lunch. Buy a gift off her registry and present it to her. Explain your situation. Empathize with her feelings. If she is intolerable about it...she ain't your friend!

It happened to me as the bride although my wedding wasn't abroad. I didn't even think of myself when she told me. She stayed as a bridesmaid but it would have been easier if she didn't. I had to get new dresses and she ended up giving birth 7 days before my wedding! At the end of the day, if she's your friend she will be happy for you and that's that.

At 9 months you can't travel. So it's not like you are just coming up with an excuse. She should be happy for you. I will be happy for any of my friends that where going to have a baby. One of my bridesmaids was pregnant at my wedding but we did not travel.
