My bf likes to "like" or "react" to other chicks pics on fb, ig, & Snapchat. Like the WOW reaction or the ❤ reaction. Should this not effect me? Lol cuz I've been tripping about it cuz I see it as disrespectful what do y'all think?

I think its okay to feel that way. I wouldnt mind of my bf liked someone elses picture, but hearts and wows are a bit much. It sounds really dumb, yes, but what if he was ogling girls in person and acting like that? People undermine the importance of social media and are quick to dismiss it but it influences us and is a lot more influential than we would like to admit. Social media is real life. Its not an alternate reality where everything is fake. How many guys use social media to cheat too? Its a legitimate concern. Also just because someone else is okay with their boyfriend doing that, doesnt mean you have to be. If it makes you uncomfortable you should mention it to your boyfriend and if he respects you he should respect your feelings too. Even if it seems petty to someone else. One thing i love about my boyfriend is when he tells me that i should tell him when i want more attention. My feelings matter to him even if its as stupid sounding as "i just want you to pay more attention to me." We sleep together every night but he knows thats not enough.
No, you dont have the right to control your boyfriend. But you do have a say in how you want to be treated and you have a right to your emotions. If he respects you, he should be concerned in situations when youre feelings are hurt, end of story. I think what he is doing is disrespectful especially since it makes you upset. Its also really fucking tacky. So whether or not its okay for him to do or what anyone thinks about the moral side of the debate, its fucking tacky ass behavior.

I don't think you're over reacting. I don't think it's appropriate at all. Social medias are public forums, and unfortunatley, this day in age a MAIN form of public communication. I think that ten years ago the "it's only social media" statements held value, but not anymore. It comes down to respect for your significant other. Plain and simple.

When my guy likes pictures of girls that are half naked and stuff then I get upset. However ever since I started just liking every guys photo and he would see. He apologized asap because he didn't like seeing my name pop up under some guys photo especially if they were half dressed as well.

I would just try to bring it up to him and if he doesn't understand it or see it. Well then I say you're free to like whatever you want to like without boundaries since he does the same.

If it upsets you then you should definitely talk to him!! Me and my SO always talk to each other about things that makes us jealous (can't find a better way to say it lmao, I'm an ESL... anyway) and honestly it really really helps us – we try to understand and help each other always and never hesitate to tell the other when something is bothering us. I hope this works for you and him, but if he disrespects your wishes girl you better get the hell outta that relationship cause it ain't worth stressing about it.
