funky smell

My boyfriend used Johnsons baby oil instead of lube once. To later read that it can cause a yest infection. Everthing is fine down there. But after my period I had a strong bad small on my underwear. Even a week later. The smell is kinda there but not as bad. should I just buy a cream? or wait it out? I've read that v smells can change from time to time
