court help

So DH has a open case going on for full custody and of course the mother is wanting child support. However we are fighting for full custody since she is unstable and she lives in a one bedroom apartment with 5 other kids and 3 adults. His son lives in the living room and sleep in his play pin. He wants to get dyfs on this case to prove that he deserves full custody and I myself agree. Do you think we have a possibility of winning.
