Stuck in waiting limbo...

I average 35 day cycles, however each month differs between 30-35 for af.  In Jan and Nov, af did come on day 40.  I'm now going into day 42... nada.  I've been bloated for a few weeks, with sore and swollen breasts starting last weekend. No sign of af and all pregnancy tests have turned out negative so far. Could there be a chance that the tests just aren't registering anything yet?! I just want something to show up so I can either be elated or get back on the ttc bus!
