women and the draft

Do you think in the situation of America needing to draft for the military, with women being seen legally more equal to men, and allowed to be in all branches and areas of the military, that women would also be drafted in the even of a huge war? I feel like we wouldn't, especially since as far as I know women don't need to sign up for the draft at 18 like American men do. My friend however disagrees and thinks it's very possible the military would draft women as well as men. Thoughts?
