does your man ever walk away from you when you cry?

My fiance has a habit of just walking away from me when im crying and paying no attention to the fact that im upset. He only does it when were fighting. But still. Anytime he shows me a vulnerable side of him, i stop the fight and comfort him. I know he really cares about me. And he does love me. But he never comforts me when im upset. Unless im crying about something that has nothing to do with him. Does anyone elses SO do this? Why do you think he does this?

Yes my husband is the same way... he has gotten a little better over the years, or at lease we don't really fight anymore. But early in our relationship yes he couldn't stand when i cried and would get pissed and leave. Just how some men are, i think they are scared to comfort you they think it is showing emotion, guys just aren't wired the same. But if I talked to him without crying he would be very supportive and talk with me. They see crying as weak and want us to "man up" before talking to them

Best case scenario he doesn't know what to do when you're like that. A lot of men want to be alone when they're upset and they don't understand that most women want exactly the opposite. Worst case scenario he just doesn't care and you don't need that

Some SOs are uneasy with seeing their partners cry, I've had a few relationships where I was told crying only showed weakness and to suck it up and everything would get better.

Although, my current SO (and hopefully my last❤️) is by far the most supportive and loving man I've ever met in my life.

It comes down to whether or not you need the extra affection when you're down. Perhaps if you sat down and discussed it--things might get better :)
