how long does plan b bleeding last?

I'm on day 3. I had just finished my period two days priar, I took plan b and now I'm on day 3 of plan b bleeding. It smells odd, it's bright red, some clots. Not heavy, but enough to be on the pad. How long does it last? If I start birth control will the two merge together and stop? I just want it to stop.

Everytime is different, it could make you bleed for a couple days or even give you a full period (7 days). I wouldn't take your other birth control pills with it, as this is putting a lot of hormones into your body. Which can cause your periods to become heavier and irregular. Plan B can also make you irregular for the next month. Wait a couple more days and if you bleed more than 7 days contact your gyno for an appointment. (I've taken plan B and bled for  8 days and it finally stopped, so I know your pain!!) I hope everything works out for you!
