Is gender neutral possible??!

Question

I don't want to know the sex of our baby until he/she is here. But I've done a little shopping around and it seems hard to shop gender neutral unless you're willing to spend a little more. I'm concerned because we're definitely looking forward to our families helping us get prepared for the baby but I don't want to make it impossible for them to help.

Has anyone successfully done it on a budget?

There's solid clothing on primary.com. My sil registered for green and yellow bigger items so they would work for every kid she has.

I shopped a lot of second hand thrift shops thy have so much gender neutral and a lot of it was brand new.

We plan to not find out. However I'm taking a note with my to the ultrasound and the tech is going to circle girl or boy for me. I'll be sending it to my mom so she can shop. The plan is to not open the gifts until baby makes its appearance.

I've had a horrible time and what I do find is minimal. I'm in the same boat. I found some luck at Walmart as far as onesies and a few sleepers. I did get a few green at carters that works for both. But if you find something let me know. Also kohls has some not much

I broke down and decided to find out at 20 weeks (23 days to go until we have our us... totally counting down lol) bc I couldn't find enough neutral stuff.

I've been picking up gender neutral clothes here and there as I see them on clearance. Like I've already stocked up on Xmas gear lol. Most stuff is cream/gray/white though. I never really see green or yellow. I find it easier to find gender neutral items in the "boy" section rather than "girl" sections. That's where they have grays and whites. But girl stuff is like pink overload lol.

But I'm getting stuff newborn-6mos to get us through the beginning. I figure once people know the sex they'll probably wanna go buy clothes. But I've been getting them now as I seem them just cause neutral is harder to find and I refuse to spend full price lol. 
Honestly I think it's a win for people not finding out if you plan on having more than 1 baby!! I'll get to reuse all this stuff again if we get pregnant again 👍🏼 instead of everything being pink or blue. I can reuse a lot of stuff. Even nursery stuff cause we're doing a woodland theme. So the major items will be neutral till we girl or boy it up later!!

We knew we were having a girl with our first but also knew that we wanted 2 kids so we went gender neutral on all of the 'big stuff' (car seat, stroller, glider, swing, etc). You don't need a lot of clothes to start and not knowing the gender might encourage people to stick with your registry and help with the big things instead of buying you 37 pink blankets ;). I'm still trying to talk hubby into Team Green for this pregnancy and would do navy and white for the nursery and then would add in either orange ( he's a Bears fan) or coral once baby is here.

It's hard as so many things are gender specific.. a friend of mine waited and decorated the nursery in greys, aqua and cream. She then added more once the baby was born and she found out she was having a boy! Gender neutral clothing is hard to find too but I had some luck shopping for her at Baby Gap and Carters.

Clothes are pretty easy I've found, most things are white, cream or beige though! (Not great for these poo-splosions I've been hearing about!) 
I managed to find a few brightly patterned things for baba which would work for a girl or boy which is awesome!!

I feel like it will be harder for me when I know if it's a boy or girl because I detest anything pink and girly! So I should have just been buying boy clothes!! 😂
