Torture isn't an effective means of getting information, nor is it ethical.

The information extracted from torture isn't reliable, at all. If you're constantly harrasing, calling someone names, hurting them, of course they'll reach a breaking point and tell you what YOU want to hear. Whether it's the truth or not. They simply want it all to stop, so they think giving you what you want is going to make it stop. So, torture simply doesn't work.

I don't think it's wrong; however, it doesn't seem very reliable or even something that could be consistently be proven in time to save lives, and then it would be wrong to have tortured someone only to receive the wrong info or find out that they really weren't lying about not knowing. Unless there's 100% proof that the person in question knows what info we want, I don't think it should be done.
