gassy baby

My son will be 3 weeks on Tuesday and he's is really gassy and is in so much pain. It breaks my heart to see him hurt. I called the dr and they said I could try gas drops but they aren't helping much. Has anybody else had this problem? What did you do to give your baby some relief? I'll be calling the dr again tomorrow my poor baby needs relief. I do breastfeed and am now cutting back on dairy and high fats to see if that helps my little boy.
