is 7 months too long to b dating with no title from him?

I have been Been dating a guy for 7 months. I met him 6 months after ending my 5 yr relationship with my ex and it was a month after his 2 yr breakup. We had the same kind of breakup and we helped each other grow and move on from the heart break. He has been soo wonderful! He makes time for me whenever I want! We have deep convos and recently told each other we loved one another. 4 months into dating..I was falling a more for him and asked him where he thought we were into maken it official. He simply told me he wasn't ready for it. Now that time has past and we r at our 7 months I'm wondering when will he make it official? We do everything a couple would..but I have slacked with seeing him as much and keeping the sex down to bare minimum. I just don't think I wana keep given myself to him even tho he treats me good. I know I'm the only one he's dating. I just don't want to keep given my all to him bc something feels missing. Commitment. Am I rushing this issue?
