Do you find this as backwards as I do?

Question

A volunteer soccer coach in my town was arrested for inappropriate contact with a minor. He is charged with 2 felonies and 1 misdemeanor. 
The 2 felonies are for talking to the 15 year old girl about marijuana and going with each other to buy it. 
The misdemeanor is for talking to her sexually and asking her if she ever touches herself. 
Am I the only one that finds Oklahoma's logic here messed up? Like you can be a sex offender and get a slap on the wrist, but if there's pot, you're doing prison time.

A friend of mine was 18 years old and was filmed receiving oral by at 17 yr old in the parking lot of their high school a few years back. (He didn't film if, they were in his truck and someone was watching them from another vehicle) He received a felony sentence and probation because once the video leaked to the school they contacted the police and the police questioned her. She admitted they had smoked some weed and then she gave him oral. He got a felony for the weed and they didn't care at all about the oral. I'm not saying they should considering at 17 and 18 and consenting that should be okay but still. It's mind blowing to me the consequences of being caught with weed.

And if you say no, why do you think it's terrible to talk about marijuana, but it's not bad to talk sexually to her, and try to sleep with her?

Yes!! this is so fucked up to me. People get jail time for having weed, but a child molester can get probation and be set free to molest more children. It makes NO sense to me! I think more needs to be done about child predators and not worry so much about punishing someone who just wants to smoke some weed in peace. My husband smokes weed, only at night, and he isn't hurting anyone by doing it. While there's child molesters set free everywhere!
