real or false labor!?

So at 5 this morning started having contractions that wrap around to back and put lots of pressure on my back. They don't hurt and they aren't really timeable yet. Hoping they are the start of something. Anyone who has been in labor started out this way and then they progress!?!

Had that for two days along with diarrhea and my water broke the following evening

Having the exact same experience, at the exact same time and timeline. I'm 40 weeks on Friday. Went to midwife, she said it was the body preparing and could be several days yet 😖

Sounds like Braxton hicks to me. Real labour and false labour contractions hurt and are timable. False labour doesn't dilate your cervix where as real labour does. Contractions will get more and more painful and closer together with real labour.

I've had something similar to this felt like a dull period pain in the lower part of my back also felt like my uterus was contracting didn't hurt particularly but was uncomfortable. As for the back pain it was that bad i had to take 2 paracetamol to ease the pain (this was last night) Had a routine midwife appointment today told my midwife and she said it could be a sign of early labour. I will be 38 weeks tomorrow. How far are you?
