Too early to buy diapers?

Question

So I turn 12 weeks next Wednesday, would it be totally dumb of me to start buying baby diapers to stock up?

( I know I can exchange if it is allergic) or maybe wait until the 2nd trimester? I just really want to be prepared and stocked up.

Early is always better. I like to be prepared and shop when things are on sale. Target always has good baby/diaper deals. We also got a 4-in-1 convertible crib for $104, originally $500. I was pumped!

People always say not to buy things early but I definitely disagree. We started buying everything when we first started trying and now I'm 22 weeks and we literally have everything. And we've gotten amazing deals too! (I'm talking we got a $200 pack n play for $70, etc.) Plus as long as you keep receipts , you can usually get your money back (even if not from the store you can from the manufacturer) and you'll be able to scope out the best deals.

We started buying diapers (and some gender neutral little stuff) at like 6 weeks. Every few weeks we buy another giant box. I'm 19 weeks now and we have about 800 diapers in various sizes. We also kept our eyes out for specials, and we got a $700 pottery barn crib for $100, and a vibrating swing $50 off! We've saved so much!

What I did was tape the receipt to each diaper package I bought in case I never used them and needed to return or exchange

Buy gift cards instead. You don't know which diapers will work for you and what sizes you need. This will help you avoid the hassle of returning

I stocked up on diapers with my first and didn't have to start buying them until he was just over 10 months old. The more boxes and the more sizes the better, as long as you have space to store them
