weight loss after pregnancy?

How much weight do you typically lose as soon as you have your baby? I'm due in 10 days and have only gained 17 pounds.

In the first few days you lose a lot cus of the baby, the placenta, the extra blood volume, and extra fluids. I didn't weigh myself but after about 5-6 days I was feeling almost completely normal again and for info most of my clothes from pre-pregnancy. Not all just cus I think my hip structure changed and the bones feel wider now lol

I lost probably 15- 25 lbs in thr first few weeks. I had gained 50

If you breastfeed you will lose faster also

I gained 20lbs with my first and then ended up losing 35lbs (too much for me) shortly after and then was underweight for about a year until I could get back up.

I lost 16lbs in the first 2 weeks with my first, I honestly don't remember nor did I really care much with the second but it was probably around there.  I'm really curious how much I'll lose after this one since I've lost 10lbs instead of gaining (24wks) since I'm on a super restricted diet for GDM. Docs say baby is growing just fine and I was a bit over at the start so nothing to worry about.

I gained 25 lbs, and lost at least 9 lbs instantly thanks to my giant baby and I'm sure the fluid and placenta was another 5 ish lbs. I got back to pre pregnancy weight at about 6 weeks pp

Im curious about that too! Ive gained 20 pounds and if baby boy is anything like his parents he will be close to 10 pounds! Lol

Dang good for you! You'll probably lose most of that within the first couple days
