throwing away formula after 1 hr?

How many moms go by the 1 hr formula rule? If baby hasn't finished a bottle do you throw it away? And why?

Yes throw it out. Would you drink milk that's been warmed up and then left out for an hour?
If you would then you can keep giving to baby. If you wouldn't then tip it out.

I throw it away. Bacteria starts to grow in it and I'm not going to risk making my baby sick

Omg....it's not a "rule" it's required. The baby cannot cope with the bacteria that grows in the formula. You need to wash the bottles after every use and boil/steam sanitize after they've been washed and rinsed until at least 6 months old. 
Also when the temp. rises it's not safe for the bottle to even sit out for the hour   as bacteria grows faster the warmer the temp.
