What beauty products safe to use?

Any guidelines on what is or isn't ok to use during pregnancy for beauty products?

A new study has linked exposure to phthalates during pregnancy to asthma, breathing issues and hormone disruption. Sadly phthalates are everywhere, but you can reduce exposure by using phthalate-free beauty products and household soaps and cleaners. Usually these beauty products are also paraben-free and sulfate-free as well, which is another great bonus.

Hi I have actually worked in the beauty feild! There's a few products to use. From Walmart there's a brand named Alba which is very good for the price, then on a higher end I absolutely suggest Mukha makeup, if you don't want to spend a ton on Mukha bare minerals is pretty good but it does wear off, no matter what the label says! Hope this helps! 😊

I know this is probably not the answer you're looking for...  But when I got prego with my son I decided to go for the "no poo" hair regime, where you gradually work your way to no shampoo, conditioner, or hair products at all. (You use baking soda and apple cider vinegar for shampoo conditioner, respectively).
Not only has this saved me from harmful hair products, but since I switched, I no longer have to take showers as often either. My body just doesn't produce as much oil. My skin is way clearer because of it too!
When I do need to use a good cleanser I go with Dr. Bronner's natural oil soaps. They're organic, fair-trade, etc and some have essential oils in them too, though there is a plain "baby soap" I use often.

Acne medication can be safe, not all is though. Hair dye is actually said to be safe, after the first trimester. No tanning and I wouldn't spray tan since there isn't a lot of studies done on it. Nails, the place must be well ventilated, in general they say it's fine. Makeup is supposedly safe as well.

That being said, I won't dye my hair(never have but wanted to prior to finding out I was pregnant), tanning and spray tanning is out, I don't get my nails done, but I still wax my eye brows and legs. My makeup is all harmful chemical free(crazy expensive so I don't use it as often now), and I haven't had the need for acne medicine. It's all about weighing the risks and benefits and deciding if the lack in studies on some things are worth risking it.

Detoxing and anything to do with steam is not safe, obviously tanning beds and spray tans are out. Hair color is not safe, hi lites they say are fine since off the scalp but best to avoid, acrylic nails no since you are inhaling all that crap, waxing is a no bc it can increase your risk of infection bc of your increased blood flow, make up in General is fine, acne face washes should be avoided etc... Basically exercise common sense
