Just got diagnosed with polycystic ovarian syndrome and Im a bit worried because the doctor didn't explain it to me very well just said it can harm my chances of falling pregnant but I already have a 9 month old daughter does anyone else suffer with this condition that can enlighten me a little bit more?

I've been diagnosed with PCOS for three years now. The only symptom I have is male pattern hair growth so I have to get laser hair removal to control it on my stomach, face, and chest. It also is EXTREMELY difficult to lose weight and you're at a higher risk for diabetes so make sure you eat right. The better you eat, the less symptoms you will have. Just look it up on google. It is hereditary. My mother sister and I all have it. People say it is extremely difficult to conceive but that is a myth. It makes it a little harder but it is DEFINITELY possible to get pregnant so still be careful. I think Eve needs to have more awareness about PCOS!!!

When I was diagnosed and I asked my doctor what it was (already knowing what it was myself) all she told me was that I'll have irregular periods and weight gain in adulthood.. So I asked her about getting pregnant in the future and she said "it won't be a big problem if you keep your weight down and consume good foods " then she told me to exercise and stuff like that. Don't know why she didn't tell me about all the other stuff like diabetes, excessive hair growth, acne but I'm guessing it's because if you keep your weight down by exercising and eating right then those are less likely to happen.

I myselfndont have it my best friend does. Her period is super irregular and she also had put on a lot of weight and it's hard to lose for her anyways idk how it is for others. She was diagnosed when we were teenagers she has two children.
