UTI from sports?

I've had softball games everyday for almost two weeks and have now developed a uti. I bathe every night, not having sex, and this is my first one. I'm thinking it's from wearing the same softball pants for every game for 8+ hours daily. Everyone on my team is getting them. Could it be from the tight pants and getting dirty? Also, how do you ease the pain? :(

Your going to need antibiotics to get it cleared up. Whenever I got them I would get prescribed numbing medicine along with the antibiotic so it won't hurt when I pee.

Unless you want a kidney infection, you will need antibiotics to clear up a UTI. I've had MANY throughout my lifetime and now have a prophylactic antibiotic to prevent them because of how often I get them. You can absolutely get them from being in tight dirty pants for hours at a time. My doctor told me to shower as soon as possible after working out. I know you can't necessarily do that, so Maybe take some extra pairs of clean underwear to change into after each game so that you aren't sitting in your own sweat for that many hours.

For the pain, take some AZO UTI pain relief. It works wonders, but it will turn your urine a bright orange color, so wear underwear you don't mind staining. The dye can also sometimes give false negatives on a UTI dip test at a doctor's office or urgent care, but it won't affect a urine culture which can take a few days to get the results. I'd advise making a doctor's appointment or going to an urgent care first, getting the diagnosis and prescription for an antibiotic and THEN taking AZO.

The sooner you get treatment, the sooner you will feel better! For future reference, try taking daily cranberry pills and drinking tons of water in order to flush out those bacteria in hopes to avoid UTIs. They are MISERABLE! Good luck!! Go buy some brags apple cider vinegar. Get a shot glass and mix half water and half a.c.v. and drink that twice a day for a few days. It tastes really really terrible but I swear by it!! If you can't handle that mixture, you can do more water and mix in lemon juice and honey to make it taste better. I personally prefer to just get it over with. Lol

If it doesn't clear up, you'll have to get antibiotics. :/
