Men, Sexual Exploitation, and Cultural Appropiation
In Jus's post someone posted a picture of the basic super short, kinda slutty Dutch girl costume. And I'm sure you've seen the "Sexy Indian", "Sexy G*psy", "Sexy [enter race/ethnicity here]".
I've personally experienced men oversexualizing my women. I've gotten the "I've never been with a black girl before." As I'm sure some of you have as well.
Now thinking about those two things, and about the cultural appropriation issues we're discussing; Do you think the two are connected and treated as different issues?
Do you believe that the girls inappropriately wearing these dressings are doing so to be seen as sexy because that's what's the media is telling them, or whatever?
Would you be more comfortable if the outfits were less sexy?
