IUD - Symptomatic treatment of endometriosis

Briana
So my Gyno is pretty certain I have endometriosis and I will find out if I have the markers in my blood or noticeable scarring (from a pelvic ultrasound) on Thursday- at which point the will be attempting to insert a Mirena IUD to hopefully lessen my symptoms.
I'd love to hear from endo sufferers who've not had babies via vaginal deliver and have gone through the process of having a Mirena inserted.
Also it stands to not that I get cyclically worsening hip pain and have penetration issues to the point that a different speculum had to be used for my papsmear, which was painful AND I was laid out for almost two days afterward because it had exhausted me so much.
