Do you have compulsive traits?

Do you have any traits that you consider a little "OCD" in nature? For example, I have an odd obsession with even numbers. I always leave the microwave on the number 24, and the radio volume is never left on an odd number. 
What are your compulsions?

Well I was diagnosed with OCD at a sort of young age. I am not really cleanly and it's nothing like that. I have this one compulsion when I ride in a car. I have to move my elbow four times evenly between each of the telephone poles. If I don't do that, then I will believe my family will get in a car accident. I am very superstitious and I have to think certain things to get the opposite result. Like people say the law of attraction is you have to think about something and believe it, but for me it's the opposite. Also, I have an obsession with evenness. If I touch a table or something a certain way, and then touch it again but with less or more force, I have to somehow balance it out. So if I hit my hand on a table, and then I for some reason tap the table. I have to hit the table again but find to make the second tap and the third tap equal the intensity of the first. It's annoying but if I don't do it then something bad will happen 👀

Oh god, here we go...
Everything has to be a multiple of 5. The volume on the TV, the microwave timer, when I take my breaks at work - everything.

Everything also needs to be color coordinated. I once SCREAMED at my step mom because she put the colored bowls in the cabinet "red, yellow, red, yellow". NO. One pile red, one pile yellow. 
And I did volunteer work - all I was asked to do was sort some baby clothes by age group. And I could not fucking do it 😂 I organized them by age group, size within each age group, AND color within each size/group. what should have taken 30min, took almost 2 hours and they were like "okay that's great.." pushing me out the door.

I have been diagnosed with OCD in the past. One of the most classic traits that I have would be obsessive cleanliness and organization. I have to have everything a certain way or I will panic and can't do or focus on anything else. Some people may see being this trait as a positive thing, and it can be, but it really makes things difficult for me when I really don't have time to be cleaning and arranging things and it makes it really difficult for me to have guests over because I know my normal order is going to be disrupted.

I don't have OCD, but I am picky. A couple of the things I'm picky about stem from the eating disorder I used to have, so I still have to be very in control when it comes to food. I also hate odd numbers. When I'm driving, I have to be going an even speed, or a number ending in 5. The volume has to be even. I have to take an even amount of bites, my my gum has to come out if it's package in a certain way. None of these things cause me severe distress or anxiety if they go wrong, so I do not have OCD. I'm just picky. I think everyone has certain things they are picky about. However, I think calling yourself (or others) OCD for being picky is absolutely ridiculous and diminishes an actually issue

OMG! Ayah we have to be distant relatives. I HATE ODD NUMBERS. Because I am on baby 3 now I'm forced to have a fourth 😂 everyone needs a buddy!

If I pump gas I have to leave it on a multiple of 5.

I must shower immediately before I get into bed. If maybe I forgot something downstairs and need to go get it after I've showered I need to get into the shower again and rinse off and then immediately get into bed. 
I also can't retire for the night until the kitchen and downstairs living area are clean and mess free. Nothing worse than waking up to a messy home.

I've had OCD since I was 4.
When I went to be tested for autism, the dr built a tower, and asked me to build a tower with the same amount of blocks. I used exactly the same colours in exactly the same pattern.

Everything has to be in a specific order. I can't function without a detailed plan of what I am doing that day, even if I don't follow it.

I get up five times a night to make sure the house is locked up. Since my neighbours were broken into in 2009, I've obsessed over the fact that we might be next.

General organization and cleanliness is my thing. I'm not really a germophobe, but I hate unmade beds, towels hung messy in the bathroom, none matching towels, improperlyatched bedding, random clutter messes for no reasons,dishes in the sink, laundry not in the hamper, clean laundry not put away properly, yes, I'm aware. It's very difficult to live with me. My husband still loves me 😉
