Birth: Nailed it!

Aleta
While at my appointment on Friday, my platelets came back low so my doctor decided then and there to walk me over to labor and delivery where we started inducing labor! To say I was not prepared was an understatement! I thought I had another 2 weeks to prepare! Pitocin was started and my husband arrived before contractions started. Since I wasn't progressing a lot by 6pm the doctor stopped my pitocin and let me eat and shower. After that, the doctor started some meds to ripen my cervix. And boy did those work! By 3 am I was in active labor. At 9am we started pushing and my little boy arrived at 10:44am on Saturday, April 15th! I went through labor and delivery with no epidural or pain meds 😳! Lincoln Theodore weighs 9lbs 6oz and is 20.5 inches long! I'm pretty thankful we didn't wait until his due date, because he's already a big boy! Just thought I'd share my little labor story with all you April moms! 😍
