tongue piercing?

Will getting my tongue ring make my lisp worse? Also what are some pros & cons ?

Answer

When I first got my tongue pierced, I had a lisp (when I previously didn't) but it only lasted a week or so. Once I got used to talking with the ring in, my speech went back to normal. I've now had it almost 5 years 😊

Pros: it's awesome (def one of my  favorite piercings)

Cons: it can cause your gums to recede (mine began to, but I put in a shorter ring and it seems to have halted), the healing period is awful (I couldn't eat anything other than soup for 2 weeks, and the swelling was painful. I very nearly took it out)

Glad I didn't take it out though 😊 I love mine

at first it probably will, i had a lisp for a few days after getting mine pierced. pros- its cute
cons-couldnt eat for 3 days
