can they get in trouble?

Some of you may remember the last I made about my husband disappearing.

Well, he's been gone for 4 days now. No contact whatsoever. I have been crying all day everyday thinking he's dead. I've lost 12 pounds from not eating and stress. We have a 1 year old daughter here, and I'm pregnant and well as having ovarian cancer. I'm not supposed to be alone. Anyways, he went to his moms house. The police began an investigation search for him. Over 100 people on Facebook has shared the post stating he's missing.

I CONTACTED HIS MOM. She lied saying he wasn't there, never texted, never called. Never seen him. Even after I told her the POLICE are looking for him.

I'm LIVID.

My sister was the one who seen him. So I'm wondering, can they get In trouble for this. Can she get in trouble for lying and saying he wasn't there?

Maybe the police should go talk to her and tell her Thanks for wasting the communities tax dollars and the police officers time on something non-threatening or real when they could've been focusing on real cases.

They haven't done anything illegal. He left voluntarily. There is not a case against him or her, nor any charges filed so sorry but I don't think there is anything they can get in trouble by the police for. I'm sorry you're in this situation. All I can think of is for you to forget about him and only concentrate on you and your daughter.

I don't really think so. I mean with lying to the police I'm not too sure. Probably not. Just because I know my uncle has "disappeared" a few times and the police wouldn't do a missing persons case because he could of voluntarily left(which he did) and he'd be in the hospital and he'd tell the nurses not to tell anyone in the family he was there so if we'd call to ask if he was there they'd tell us no. So I would let them know what's going on now and see what they say.

If they lied to you… No, they can't get in trouble. If they lied to the police… It's a possibility because they are interfering with an investigation.
