Drug addiction is...

I used to think drug addiction was a disease as i watched siblings go through their addictions. And as i watched my ex fiance in his addiction. But now i sort of think it's a choice. Choosing to stick a needle in your arm, or choosing to pop pills. That creates the habit making them dependent on the drug. They we'rent addicted beforehand. Just my opinion. What's yours?
