Zika?

I talked to my midwife today because I have a trip to Orlando & Key west in June, I will be 17 weeks I believe. She didn't seem so concerned, she suggested I just keep a thin layer on and bug spray. Is this something that I should cancel my trip over? I have plenty of friends from that area who have perfectly healthy babies and work outside so I'm kinda confused & not sure how to feel, but I feel that it's inevitable because mosquitoes love biting me for some reason

Check the CDC website, I think the only county in Florida that has Zika is Miami-Dade county. But the CDC will let you know. Btw I went to Orlando in march at 12 weeks. No problems even wore bug spray and there weren't many bugs out

I'm in Boynton Beach (hour north of Miami) have been here for 4 days and haven't gotten bitten once.

There have been isolated cases in Orlando and key west, but not sustained local transmission. I believe Florida's public Heath department had a map of the cases and areas of concern. I wouldn't be too worried about those areas, but bug spray is never a bad idea.

Zika hasn't been in the news for a while. I don't think it's of much concern anymore. I wouldn't worry about it.
